On 8 October 2026, PMDA listed posaconazole as a contraindicated co-medication with anamorelin hydrochloride. Strong CYP3A4 inhibition may raise anamorelin exposure and increase adverse reactions.
Practical point
Patients should not stop or combine medicines on their own. Prescribers and pharmacists should reconcile prescriptions from all providers before starting an antifungal.
