Scope
CiRA and the University of Zurich's IREM will operate a joint on-site laboratory in Kyoto and Zurich from October 2026, linking iPS cells, disease modelling, drug discovery and genome editing with tissue engineering and translational cell/gene therapy research.
Why it matters
The initiative is relevant for research partnerships and translational pipelines, but it is not a patient-access treatment program.
