Two current oncology study directions
The University of Tokyo Veterinary Medical Center lists an anti-PD-1 antibody clinical study for canine histiocytic sarcoma, conducted with Yamaguchi University and the Japan Small Animal Cancer Center/iCAT after ethics review.
It also lists a veterinarian-led study using tumor organoid drug screening to identify candidate molecular-targeted therapies for dogs and cats with solid tumors.
Important limitation
These are clinical studies, not proof that the interventions are established standard treatments. Eligibility, repeat visits, testing and costs require confirmation with the center.
